NOOOOOOOOO. don't members of congress and the senate read newspapers!?!?! every bit of research being bandied about calls for more stimulus and fewer tax cuts, but the democrats are folding like weenies against the petty politicking of republican assholes with nothing but partisanship to drive their policy. this is kinda fucked. Eliminating billions in spending for schools and other infrastructure investements? for what? so my cousins can pay off their credit card debt and have a little left over for the down payment on a jet ski? I'm sure glad they'll be having so much fun at the Ozarks this summer.
SNL's opening sketch was probably too policy-centric to really hit home for most viewers but the indignation is completely appropriate.
Bush and the GOP shoved their bullshit down our throats for years and now the Obama administration and the legislative majority can't pull off anything resembling the policy advances mandated by the '06 congressional elections and Obama in '08 (Remember?). I'm kicking inanimate objects, cursing everyone involved.
